Summary

Our friends at The Disabled Childrens Partnership have launched their manifesto, calling on the next government to make disabled children a priority, clarify and enforce rights, and review the law.

Disabled Children's Partnership launches Manifesto ahead of general election

We’re proud to be a member of the Disabled Children’s Partnership (DCP), a coalition of more than 100 organisations that campaigns for better support for disabled children and their families. They are asking all parties to commit to investing in early intervention and support. As a signatory and member of the DCP, we at AFK wholeheartedly support this manifesto.

The DCP calls on the government to create a more just, fairer system of support for disabled children and families – one that is easier to navigate and gets them the services they’re entitled without having to fight for them. 2024 is expected to a major year politically. With that in mind, The DCP has launched its own Manifesto in advance of the general election.

They are calling on the next government to:

Make disabled children a priority

Clarify and enforce rights, and review the law

Address funding shortfalls and create a dedicated fund for disabled children
