We are now looking to appoint a new Employment Broker to join our small, friendly and experienced Service Delivery team.
This is a crucial role and at the heart of what we do, your role will involve building relationships with employers and brokering new opportunities for supported employment and work placements, and you will also provide some specialist one to one coaching to support young people to progress towards further independence and work.
You will have previous experience of working with disabled young people and understand the barriers that often prevent them from getting a job. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of working with employers and supporting disabled people into employment and be passionate about their right to live the life they want. With a good level of literacy and numeracy, you will be a strong communicator and self-starter who is also willing to support the wider team at AFK from time to time as needed.
