Over the weekend, to celebrate AFK’s 30th Anniversary, Lyn, our pocket rocket Corporate Partnerships Manager took to the skies to raise money for young people with disabilities and autism.
Travelling to Go Skydive in Salisbury, Lyn took her family along to support and watch tick off a challenge that’s been at the top of her bucket list for a while.
On landing, Lyn took to her JustGiving page:
‘I did it! I’m back down to earth after flying to a height of 10,000ft in a Cessna, plummeting 5,000ft in free fall at a speed of over 125mph through the clouds before the parachute opened and I was able to swoop around a bit on a beautiful clear day taking in the sights of Salisbury. It was scary, intense and exhilarating. So proud and glad I did it and just incredibly grateful to everyone who supported and encouraged me and donated so far. Thanks doesn’t even begin to go there but I promise you that your generosity will make a massive difference!’
