About our Life and Work Programme

If you have a disability and/or identify as neurodivergent, and live in London, we can help get you into work.

The aim of our Life and Work Programme is to support disabled London residents aged 18-25 into paid employment. (Please note that while we are based in the North London area, we do welcome requests from elsewhere in England as we may be able to work with you virtually online).

We provide skills training and real world work experience, leading to job opportunities and flexible support into paid employment.

What is the process like?

First, we talk to you to see what your interests are, what you are good at and what you want to do in the future.

Then, with help from a Job Coach, you will:

  • Develop an Action Plan with a set of goals for work
  • Build your skills and confidence
  • Practice your interview skills with a Job Coach
  • Complete work placements in real working environments
  • Get help applying for jobs and preparing for interviews
  • Be supported as you get used to your new job

By the end of your time with us, we hope you will have found a paid job or a volunteer role that you enjoy. You will be supported by our team through the whole process – even once you’ve gotten a job and started work.

ⓘ Your Job Coach will arrange suitable work placements for you and help you look for work. They will support you every step of the way, even after you’ve gotten a job.
