Become an Ambassador for AFK

Are you passionate about supporting disabled children and young people?

Do you believe, as we do, that those with disabilities deserve to live the life they choose, just like everyone else?

We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team of Ambassadors and help spread the word about AFK.

AFK Ambassadors are volunteers who support us in lots of different ways, representing AFK in their communities and helping to engage people with our work.

As an Ambassador, you might:

  • Take part in regular fundraising events for AFK – you could run it, swim it, bike it or bake it!
  • Encourage your friends, family, colleagues and community to support AFK
  • Connect our fundraising team to Charity of the Year or sponsorship opportunities in your area
  • Organise your own fundraising event – we’ve got lots of ideas and plenty of resources to help you!

There’s no age limit on supporting AFK – some of our biggest supporters are only 5 years old, others are 95! We welcome anyone who wants to help us support more disabled children and young people.

my AFK Young Ambassadors

If you have completed AFK’s programmes in Education & Training and/or Life & Work, you can volunteer to become a Young Ambassador and help other young people who are being supported by AFK, as well as promoting AFK in your community.

  • Volunteer at one of our events
  • Participate in an event, such as the Superhero Tri, a sponsored walk, or a bike ride
  • Organise a fundraising event, such as a bake sale or film night
  • Be a speaker at our events, telling people about our work
  • Encourage people to support our work as monthly donors

Our commitment to you
